Howard Booth, of Carterton, mentioned the names of several men who, he alleged, were taking a prominent part quietly in soliciting support, for the Royal Agricultural Society's reorganised district council scheme thereby undermining the organisation known as the ISorth Island Agricultural and Pastoral Conference. Mr. Wild explained he had sent a letter to the secretary of the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association whereiii he recommended the Royal Agricultural Society's scheme, but he had alio said that if it were decided to set up a conference the Royal AgriculturE 1 Society would act in co-oper-ation .it all times. While some delegates to-day held there ivas no need for two organisations others held that the !North Island Conference was accomplishing work •vhich the Royal Agricultural Societj did not touch upon, but Mr. Wild, in reply, said he was sure the society could accomplish aH the conference had been doing. 1* inally the matter was referred to the executive of both organisations to discuss and report.
