JAPAN AND CHINA
TENSITY OF SITUATION POSSIBLE MILITARY ACTION TOKIO. Juno 7 Tho War Council of Japanese military commanders at Tientsin is preparing to take drastic military action in North China. It is understood that Japan is sending an ultimatum to the Chinese Government, and that the situation at Tientsin is tense, following the march of Japanese troops through the Chinese areas of the city. It is announced that Japan intends to "demilitarise" Tientsin and Peking, where, it is alleged, the Chinese are directing the activities of bandits.
