TRAINING OF TEACHERS
EACH UNIVERSITY CENTRE CONFERENCE SUGGESTION [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Saturday The Education Boards' conference has carried a remit that teacher training facilities should be provided in each university centre. An amendment to defer expressing an opinion until the Department submitted a statement of the actual saving mads by the closing of two colleges was lost. A remit urging the Minister to provide a more liberal scale of allowances for incidental expenses of committees was carried unanimouslv.
