GOLDEN WEDDING
MR. AND MRS. E. W. RUSTON The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Ruston, of Huntly, is being celebrated to-day with a family reunion, at which many old friends are expected to be present. Mr. and Mrs. Rust§n -were married at St. Paul's Parish Church, Tipton, Staffordshire, England, -on - May 2-1, 1885. t Shortly afterwards Mr. Ruston came to New Zealand, and was followed a year later by his wife. They resided for a short time at Brunner, West Coast, and later came ' North and settled in Huntly, where they have resided for the. past 47 years. Mr. Ruston has been connected with the coalmining industry practically all his life, until a few years ago when he retired through failing health; Mr. and Mrs. Ruston had nine children, six of whom are still living. They are Mrs. W. C. Davies, Huntly; Messrs. Walter and Bert Ruston, Huntly; Mr. D. Ruston, Okaihau, North Auckland; Mr. A. Ruston and Mrs. R. Henderson, Te Aroha. There are thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
