Miss M. Loudon, of Epsom, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Lady Cox* of Dunedin, will leave the Wanganella this morning for Sydney. Miss C. Cuff, Hamilton, and Miss J. Monerieff, Napier, are at the Central Hotel. Mrs. Peter Chance, London, and Mrs. G. F. Merson,' Edinburgh, are at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. Walter Seavill, of Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs. Thomas Russell, 'Arney Road, Remuera. The Misses Eileen and Penelope Blundell, -who have been visiting Auckland, have returned to New Plymouth. Mrs. Percy Jackson, Takutai Street, Parnell, who has been spending several weeks in New Plymouth, has returned home. Mrs. E. J. Reid, Motutapu, Mrs. 0. R. Farrer, Miss C. Farrer and Miss M. Gillies. Hamilton, are at the Hotel Cargen. At the Station Hotel are Mrs. N. Wilson, Whangarei, Mrs. A. Corry, Mrs. McNicol, and Miss M. McNicol, Hamilton, Mrs. F. Blake, Mount Maunganui, Mrs. M. Ellery, Melbourno, and Mrs. H. Jones, Onewhero. The Women's Progress Club met on Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. C. Dickens presiding. An interesting talk was given by Dr. Buckley Turkington on women's interests in other parts of the world. Mrs. C. Linden was the soloist. She contributed two songs, "Ye Banks and Braes" and "My Task." The afternoon ended with afternoon tea. Lady Buckleton, Wellington,' has been honoured with a seat in St. Paul's for the Thanksgiving Sarvice, and Miss Buckleton has been allotted a stand seat with other New Zealanders, wrote our London correspondent on May 4. So far'they have not made any definite plans, but*they intend to visit relatives and friends in the south and in the north. The old girls' basket ball dance was held in the Taupiri Hall on Tuesday evening. Extras were played by Mrs. R. T. Hill and Miss J. Walter., Among those present were:—Mesdames A. Shepherd, J.
