Miss Power was the accompanist. The wedding took place on April 15 at St. Anne's Church Moseley, Birmingham, of Mr. W. E. Merritt, the New Zealand cricketer and Rugby footballer, to Miss Doris Lambert., of Oakfield Road, Cannon Hill, Birmingham. Mr. John Nice, brother-in-law of the bride, was the best man. Following the quiet ceremony, a reception was held at the Midland Hotel, and Mr. and Mrs. Merritt left for Brighton for their honeymoon. They will live at Blackburn.

The Dorian Club, held its first meeting for the year on Saturday in the form of an " Elgar Evening." Mrs. Poole gave an interesting talk on " Elgar: His Life and Music."
