PAINTER IMPRISONED Charges of stealing from Elizabeth Coulling, white lead valued at £1 13s and turpentine valued at 2s 6d, were {Admitted in the Police Court yesterday by John McCarthy, aged 46, painter, who appeared before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M. Accused has had 32 previous convictions," said Sub-Inspector Fox. In sentencing accused to two months' imprisonment on the first charge, and seven day?' imprisonment on the second count, the magistrate remarked that he had been treated in the past with the utmost leniency.
