NEW HAMILTON BRIDGE
PROGRESS OF CONSTRUCTION [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Monday Goqd progress has been made with the pile-driving operations in connection with the construction of the new traffic bridge over the Waikato River at the northern boundary of the Hamilton borough. Two piers on the Claudelands side have been completed and water is being pumped from another pier preparatory to laying the reinforcing cement. Work is being carried out on the superstructure on the eastern bank and much of the steel-work has been prepared. Two piers have been completed on the western bank and preliminary work in preparation for the building of the superstructure has been carried out.
