ELECTORS AT CHATHAMS
NO VOTES RECORDED The Chatham Islanders appear to hare acted last week irt a manner without precedent in local body elections. The counties of Akaroa, Wairewa, Mount Herbert and Chatham Islands, and the borough of Akaroa together elect one member of the North Canterbury Hospital Board Two candidates nere nominated for this seat, and only a progress report could be obtained on Wednesday evening because the returns from tho Chatham Islands were not available. Next day the returning officer in Chribtchurch received a wireless message from the islands to the effect that no votes had been cast there.
