ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN FEES OF £B7OO WRITTEN OFF [by telegraph—own correspondent] THAMES. Monday At a meeting of the Thames Hospital Board to-day Mr. P. Brenan, of Paeroa, was elected chairman. Mr. Brenan is the senior member of the board and has had experience on several local bodies, being at one time Mayor of Paeroa. The secretary presented a report from the local committee which stated that the list of outstanding fees, mostly native ones, had been carefully scrutinised. It recommended that £8737 be written off. The report was adopted.
