SATURDAY'S SALES RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of Saturday's transactions on New Zealand Stock Exchanges and the return from investment at the quoted price. The exchange premium on dividends payable in sterling is included in the calculation of returns. The yield on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption and that on 3J per cent loans is for interest alone, and covers only the period for which the loans are tax-free. MOUNT MORGANS HIGHER WAIHI OFFERS IMPROVE Business in mining shares on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday was confined to a sale in Mount Morgans at 38s Id, a rise of Id. The New York price for cash is 1 dollar 12J cents. A message from. Washington states that winter wheat production is estimated at 431,6-37,600 bushels.

BRITISH TREASURY BILLS

(Received May 12, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY. May 11 The amount applied for in tenders for £35,000,000 worth of Treasury bills this week was £116,215,000. The maximum amount was allotted in bills at three months. The average rate per cent was 10s 0.03 d, compared with 10s 1 -Old a week ago.
