WHITE HERON SEEN

APPEARANCE AT PAPAKURA A white heron has frequented a secluded tidal inlet of the Manukau Harbour, off the Hingia Stream, near Park Estate Road, Papakura, for about a week, according to a report made yesterday by residents who live near the foreshore. The bird, which is a fairly large specimen, lias been seen each day on the mud Hat at. half-tide and also wading in shallow water, apparently feeding on small fish.
