EXPERIMENTS IN GERMANY
The authorities of Hanover, Germany, are experimenting with a new kind oi: street cleaning machine which works on the same principle as'ihij domestic vacuum cleaner. The mud is drawn straight up into the centre' of the machine through a cylindrical brush, Bind the need to flood the streeta before cleaning, particularly disadvantageous. in frosty weather, is thereby obviated.
