The Duchess will run to Matiatia to-day, to-morrow and on Sundsiy and Monday These will h° her final trips this season. The Pukeko is due on Sunday from Napier, Gisbome and East Coast, bays, and will leave for the same ports on Tuesday afternoon. Messrs. Walk in and Wallis advise that, the motor-vessel Koutunui is due this morning from Napier. She will sail again to morrow afternoon, taking cargo for Napier.

MONOWAI TO SAIL The Monowai arrived from Wellington yesterday morning and berthed at Prince's Wharf. She is scheduled to sail for Sydney at three o'clock this afternoon. THE CANADIAN' BRITISHER The Canadian Britisher, which left Halifax on April 3 is nov due next Thursday. She will complete discharge at Wellington, Lyttslton, Timaru and Dunedin. NARBADA FROM THE EAST The Narbada will arrive on Sunday from Caicutta, via Eastern sports After discharge here she will proceed to Wellington, l>yt telton and Dunedin. ELMBANR TO SAIL The British PliosphLte Commissioners ad vise that the Elmban!; is now expected to sail for Nauru Islano %t noon to-day to load another cargo of phosphates. SCRAP METAL FOR JAPAN The Japanese steamer Mataram is due from Wellington to-morrow afternoon to complete loading scrap metal for Japan to the agency of t.b* Union Steam Ship Corn* pany, Limited TONGARTRO TO COMPLETE The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ton&ariro arrived yesterday morninir from Wellington to complete loading. ROUGH SEAS ON MANUKAU BAR Owing to rough seas on the Manukan Bar, the Ronaki did not leave Onehunga for New Plymouth and Piclon hist night. Both she and the Hokianga, which was to have sailed for Hokianga, were expected to leave at 5 o'clock this morning. KENT'S LOADING . The Federal Line Btiamer Kent, which has been loading at' Central Wharf, will sail at 5 o'clock this afternoon for Opua to continue loading for London and West : Coast poits af the United Kingdom. She will sail finally from Wsnganui on May 22. LYTTELTON HARBOUR LIGHT The Marine Department advises that the light and whistle buoy «)if the entrance to Port Lyttelton has been removed for over- 1 haul. If. will be replaced as soon as possible. An unlighted can buoy will mark the position in the meantime., > MARIPOSA DUE TO-MORROW The Matson liner Mariposa is due at 7 o'clock to-morrow morning from Sydney. 1 She has 137 passengers for New Zealand and 301 through passengers. The vessel is ' scheduled to sail for Lou Angeles and San Francisco, via Suva, Pago Pago and Honolulu, at 1 o'clock the same afternoon. : < lONIC'S ITINERARY It. D..Nathan and.Company, Limited, has received advice that the lonic's itinerary has again been altered. The vessel, which was delayed iia loading at Wsnganui, will now leave Wellington at daybreak on Monday for Lyttelton, and will leave that port finally at daybreak next Thursday for London, via Panama. Passengers may embark either at Wellington on Sunday evening, or at. 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Lyttelton. HERTFOED AT SOUTHAMPTON The Federal Line steamer Hertford, which left Lyttelton on March 22, for Southampton and London, i:s reported to have arrived at Southampton on Wednesday. The Hertford will take the Northumberland's ' sailipg on June 1 from Liverpool for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here about July 10. The Surrey will leave Liverpool for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin on June 22, in place of the Hertford.
