TRIBUTES TO MAYOR
COUNCIL AT OTAHUHU Appreciation of the services rendered to tho borough of* Otahuhu by the retiring Mayor, Mr. H. T. Clements, was expressed at a meeting of the Borough Council last night. A motion appointing a sub-committee to frame a minute of appreciation was unanimously adopted. All members spoke of-' the Outstanding service which Mr. Clements has given to tlib council in the past li> years, for the last six of which lie has been Mayor. Warm appreciation was also expressed of the excellent service given by the Mayoress, Mrs. Clements. I]) acknowledging the sentiments expressed Mr. Clements said he had served through, the periods of nine councils. Between 40 and 50 different members bad served during those IS years.
