TRANSPORT LICENCES
PASSENGERS AND GOODS The following decisions concerning licences for motor road services were reached at a sitting of the No. 2 Licensing Authority yesterday:— Passenger Services.—The St. John Ambulance Association was granted a continuous passenger service licence to operate ambulances over the northern portion of the North Island, bounded on the south by the southern boundaries of Waitomo, Ohura, Kaitieko, Taupo ? Whakatane. Waikohu and Cook Counties. An application by M. H. Smith, of Waikorea, for a continuous passenger service between Waikorea and Auckland, to carry passengers from the Public Works camp at Waikorea, was granted. Goods Services.—Authority was given R. S. Lever, of Kohekohe, to carry livestock between Kohekohe, Te Toro and Waiuku. F. R. Stokes, of Paparata, was granted a licence to carry general goods between Paparata anil Paerata, via Bombay and Pukekohe, and to carry coal between Buckland and Bombay. Permission was also given to convey passengers between Paparata and Pukekohe. H. R. Robson, of Arapuni, was granted a renewal of his licence to carry Public Works Department stores. Tho licence of 11. T. Salter, of Papatoetoe, was amended to provide an extension of the route as far as Thames to carry potrol.
