AMBULANCE CADETS
efficiency trophy won A competition for the Junior Efficiency Shield for cadets of the St. John Ambulance Association, held at Onehunga on Wednesday evening, was won by the Auckland Grammar School A team, with 208 points. The Onehunga No. 2 team was second with 187 points, and the Auckland Grammar School B team third with 179. The trophy, which was presented to the winning team by Mr. S. J. Smith, sen., was donated last year by Messrs. V. J. Smith and Son and Mr. J. E. Carr Neill, of Onehunga t There are two events in tho competition —a stretcher case and an individual test in which the patient is unconscious and also suffering from injuries. The stretcher case was judged by Dr. P. Moir, of Epsom, and the individual test by Dr. C. J. A. Griffeti. Both doctors expressed themselves as well pleased with the standard of work done bv the cadets. The competition I was in the charge of Mr. R. K. Crawj ford, corps officer, assisted by Mr. G. T. Patterson, corps officer.
