MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
OPEN-AIR MEETINGS i In view of the s.pproaching municipal elections and the desire of many candidates to hold open-air meetings, the City Council last night approved of a number of street sites in the central and outlying portions of the city for which permits can he issued by the town clerk. It was stated thai these permits would bo given after April 19 for any of the sites, but only to candidates whose nominations had been received ,by the returning officer on the closing date, April 17. It was stated that a number of parks and reserves also would be available on the same conditions should the necessity arise. These would be Western, Myers, Grev Lynn,, Victoria, Parnell and Point Chevalier P;irks, and the reserves at Walker Road, Point Chevalier and at the corner of Union and Cook Streets.
