ASSOCIATION'S YEAR PROSPECT OF ROYAL, SHOW [from our OWN' correspondent] HAMILTON. Thursday A successful year was reviewed at the 43rd annual meeting of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association to-day. The president, Mr. W. H. Miers, presided.
The balance-sheet disclosed a sound financial position, the excesij of income over expenditure for the year being £347. It was decided to recommend the incoming committee to consider the qualifications for honorary life members, with a view to increasing their number.
A vote of thanks for tho assistance he had given the show committee, especially in the Jersey section, was accorded to Mr. W. T. Luxton.
Referring to the possibility of a Royal Show at Hamilton, Mr. Miers said it seemed that the association would be' able to arrange the fixture for 1938. He thought it could be made an outstanding success. The election of officers resulted a« folows: —President, Mr. W. H. Miers; senior vice-president, Mr. N. Reid; junior vice-president, Mr. R. A.
