PRESERVING FOUNDATIONS BILL IN HOUSE OF LORDS British Wireless RUGBY, March 13 The second reading took place in the House of Lords yesterday of a bill to preserve the foundations of St. Paul s Cathedral by controlling excavations for building purposes within a prescribed area. The Archbishop of Canterbury said inquiries made some years ago had revealed that tho greatest danger lay in a possible weakening of the foundations.
