RATEABLE VALUES
METROPOLITAN AREA DECREASE AT MOUNT ALBERT A list of the capital values of rateablo property in Auckland has been supplied to the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board by the Under-Secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs. Rateable property under the control of the Auckland Cit<y Council is assessed at £48,810,204; Newmarket Borough Council, £1,624,204; Mount Eden Borough Council, £5,614,057; Mount Albert Borough Council, £3,954,864; Onehunga Borough Council, £2,886,067; One Tree Hill Borough Council, £3,158,188; Mount Roskill Road Board. £2,259,333; Mount Wellington Road Board, £894,873; and Ellerslie Town Board, £586,071. It was stated that as a result of the revaluation of the Mount Albert borough last year the assessment had decreased by about £1,700,000.
