MANY MARRIAGES
THE DOMINION TOTAL FIGURES FOR LAST YEAR The number of marriages celebrated in New Zealand in 1934 was the second largest in the history of the Dominion, according to official figures published in the Abstract of Statistics. In 1920, following the cessation of the war and the return of the NewZealand tropps, 12,1.75 marriages took place. Last year the number was 11,650, an increase* of 1140, or 11 per cent, over those in 1933.
