TOURIST TRAFFIC
INCREASE LAST YEAR LOWER MIGRATION LOSS Although there was a net migration loss during 1934, a substantial increase in tourist traffic is reported in the January Abstract of Statistics. The excess of departures over arrivals last year was 1617, showing an improvement compared with the totals of 2183 in 1933 and 2933 in 1932.
During the year, 10,879 tourists and other temporary visitors arrived in the Dpminion, as against 8953 in 1933. These figures are exclusive of tourists on cruising liners, the number for 1934 being 2638.
