RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of yesterday's transactions on New Zealand Stock Exchanges and the return from investment at the quoted price. The exchange premium on dividends payable in sterling is included in the calculation of returns. The yield on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption and that on 3J per cent loans is for interest alone, and covers only the period for which the loans are tax-free. AUCKLAND EXCHANGE

THE MINING MARKET LEVELS FAIRLY STEADY WAIHIS SLIGHTLY FIRMER Levels of mining shares were fairly steady on the Auckland Stock l£xchange yesterday. Offers for "Waihis improved by 3d to 39s 3d, while holders were unchanged at 39s (sd. Two parr-els of Goldfields Dredgings were released a shade lower at 9d, while Mabakipawas and Waihi Junctions sold at current rates. I

DIVIDEND PAYMENT RESUMED

A dividend of 2* per cent, the first since 1931, when 10 per cent was paid, has been declared by the directors of the Equitable Building and Investment Company of Wellington, Limited, for the year ended December 31. 1 he' accounts show that after transferring £4715 to the securities scrve the profit amounts to £lo/Oj which, with the balance of £1035 brought forward, makes £2610 available for. distribution. In the previous year the company showed a loss of £290/ while in 1932 there was a loss of £1706.

GOLD AND SILVER QUOTATIONS IN LONDON LONDON, Feb. 7 Fine gold is quoted to-day at £7 2s Id an oz., compared with £7 Is 10id yesterday. Silver is quoted at 24 7-16 d an oz. spot, and 24 9-16 d forward, same aa yesterday: — The quotation for silver at per fine oz. is 26 7-16 d, compared with 26id yesterday.
