POSSESSION OF PISTOL
For having in her possession an automatic pistol, a married woman, Dorothy Maude Smith, appeared in the Police Court yesterday and was convicted and ordered to pay 12s costs. An order was made for the confiscation of the weapon. Senior-Detective Hall said defendant had informed the police the ' pistol was a war souvenir. It was of French make, and although ammunition could not be obtained in New Zealand, it could bo secured in Australia, or on tho Continent.
