HOLIDAYS IN THE NORTH
POPULARITY OF CAMPING
[PROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT]
KAI.TAIA. Wednesday
Although at the beginning of December an increasing number of motor tourists were to be seen on the roads in the North, the floods just before Christmas caused the number to decrease. During the holidays and since there has been a good volume of traffic using the roads, but so far not to the extent that was experienced last year. Campers' tents are to be seen on all the beaches of the North. Not only are the usual camping places occupied, but also other beaches now accessible by new roads which have been opened up during the past year.
