WAITEMATA CLUB OFFICERS At a recent meeting of the Waitemnta Boating Club. the. club captain. Mr. R. B. Smith, tended his resignation. It -was staled that Mr. Smith, who is pressed for time, does not think he can do justice to tho office, find that, in view of the New Zealand championship regatta on the Whau Estuary in March for which lie is training. liis time would be further limited. The vice-captain. Mr. L. N. Ross, was elected in his stead, while Mr. R. Cr. Barker was elected vice-enptair and also a member of the selection committee. The club's old best-and-best boat has been loaned to the Napier Rowing Club for practice for the New Zealand championships.
