REMUERA PARK

Sir, —The City Council is deserving of praise for the transformation effected on the corner of Eemuera .Road and Wairere Road. The change from its rough and unkempt appearance to its present tidy condition, with possibilities as a park when the trees come along, and flowers aro planted along the roadway, will help to create a very pleasant, corner of this area. The promise also of a children's playground will further improve the park and give playing facilities now lacking in the district for the children of a large working-class population. At present there is need for a few spats to be placed on the area. This presents an opportunity for some public-spirited citizens to supply the need. C. A. French.
