81-CENTENARY OF PAPER
An interesting history ot Lloyds List from its inception in 1734 to the present day is containued in un attractive brochure issued by tlie committee of Lloyds' to commemorate the pair's bi-eentennry. Side by side with copies of pages r'rom recent issues appear facsimiles o!: early issues, in which the chief item of news seemed to be quotations of London exchange on Rotterdam, Antwerp, Paris, "Bourdeaux," Cadiz, Madrid, "Bilboa, Leghorn, Venice, Lisbon, Oporto and Dublin.
Facsimiles are also included of Lloyds' reports of such famous na\al e ngagements as Tsushima, Trafalgar and Jut-hind. The death of Lord Nelson is dealt with' in ten words, while fifteen words are used to announce the loss of the niizzen mast in the engageWent by tho barque Windermere.
