MAORI LEADER'S DEATH
ARAWA TRUST BOARD

The death has occurred of Moho Wihapi, a leader of the Tuhourangi Tribe and a member of the Arawa Trust Board, at the age of 68 years. For the greater part of his life ho had been closely connected with the Native Land Courts in the district and served for nearly six years ou the Arawa Trust Board. The body will be conveyed to Te Puke, where he spent most of his life.
Large numbers of east coast Maoris are expected at the tangi, which opened to-day..
