ARBITRATION WANTED
TRADES COUNCIL'S REQUEST

An official of the Trades and Labour Council said to-day that it was intended to forward a request to the Government for an amendment to the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 'providing for compulsory arbitration. A national move would be made and would probably be undertaken within the next few weeks.
