HANDICAP TOURNAMENT FINALS DECIDED YESTERDAY The 'Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's annual handicap tournament was concluded at the Stanley Street courts yesterday, with the exception of the men's doubles, and some interesting matches resulted. Results are as follows: FIRST SECTION Men's Singles.—Final: A. D. Brown (owe 40) beat J. Leng (owe 30 2-G), 6—2. G—4. Ladies' Singles.—Final: Miss L. Adams (owo 15 4-0), beat Mrs. M. I. Wilson (owe 4-G 15), (i—3. 6—o. Men's Doubles.—Quarter-final: A. D. Browa and S. S. Handy side (owe 50) beat Peak and Vear (plus 15), 6—5, 6—4; V. R. Johnß and Dr. Andrews (owe 40 2-6) beat It. Sawyer amd D. JaSrey (owe 5-6 151, 4—6, 6—2, 6—3; A. Lemon and G. Wada (owe 15 1-6) beat C. O. Litherland and N. Ford (owe 50), G—s, 6—2. Semi-finals: V. R. Johns and Dr. Andrews beat A. D. Brown and S. S. Handyside, 6—o, 6-0. Ladies' Doubles.—Quarter-finals: Misses J. McClymont and McCready (owe 30) beat Misses Cawkwell a.nd McLcod (plus 4-G 15), 6—5, .6—4; Mrs. Biggs and Miss Jones (owe 4-6 15) beat Misses Green and Adams (owe 15 4-6), 3—f>, 6—5, 6—3. Semi-finals: Miss Warren and Mrs. Andrews (plus 4-6 15) beat Miss A. McClymont and Mrs. Wilson (owe 30 2-6). 6—4 , 6—l; Misses J. McClymont and McCready (owe 30) beat Mrs. Biggs and Miss Jones (owe 4-6), 6—3, 6—4. Final: Miss Beryl Warren and Mrs. Andrews beat Misses J. McClymont and McCready, 7 —5, 6—3. Sawyer and Miss Adnms beat Munn and Miss McLeod (plus 15 2-6), 6 —4, 4_G, 6—l. SECOND SECTION Men's Singles.—Semi-final: A. Lemon (owo 30) beat S. M. Clarke (owe 30 2-6), 6—2, 6—5. Finn!: N. F. llarre (owe 15 4-G) beat A. Lemon (owe 30), 6—3, G—3. Ladies' Singles.—Final: Miss Beryl Warren (plus 15) boat Mrs. Andrews (owe 15 1-6), 6—o, 6—3. SOUTH ISLAND TOURNEY ANGUS WINS SINGLES [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] TIMARU, Friday The South Island tennis championships were concluded to-day. In spite of rain o\-er-niglit the courts played well and the men's singles final provided good tennis, although the scores might indicate an easy win for Angas. Miss liudkin proved too strong for Miss Sullivan and won easily. Experience played a big part in Miss Rudkin's victory. Results:— Men's Singles Championship.—C. Angas (Cliristchurcli) beat W. Kenton (Timaru), 6—2, 6—2. Men's Doubles.—Final: C. Angas and W. Robertson (Timaru) beat D. Dyniond (Christchurch) and W. Ronton, 6—4, 6—2. Women's Singles.—Final: Miss D. Rudlcin (Christchurch) beat Miss N. Sullivan (Timaru), 6—o 6—3.
Women's Doubles.—Final: Mrs. Barker (Rangiora) and Mis. Ilanan (Southland) beat Misses D. Smythe and N. Sullivan (Timaru), 3—G. 6—3, 6—4.
