THE HOLIDAY SEASON The Mayor and Mayoress, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Dbwnes, will spend the holidays at the Kawhia seaside. The Misses M. and G. Wynyard ha\ N e returned from Hawke's Bay, where they are both on the staff of Woodford Bouse, Havelock North. Mr. and Mrs. D. McArthur will spend Christmas with relatives at Paeroa. Mr. and Mrs. X. M. Lothhridge, Korakonui. will leave for Mount Manjiganui early in JanuaryMrs. Clouglv Blundell will spend a few davs during Christinas in Auckland, and later will go t;o the Mount, Tauranga. Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Oram, Mahoe Street, are visiting relatives in Auckland. Miss M. Munro lias gone to l)unedii» to spend several weeks with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. S. .J. Nobes, Young Street, have planned a motor tour ol' the Winterless North. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Civil will spend a holiday at Devon port, while Mr and Mrs. Alex Hanna, Te Mawhai, are occupying their home in Alexandra Street. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Grant, Mutu Street, are planning a visit to the southern districts, including a few days in "Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Armstrong intend to spend a few days in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Davis are spending a few days with friends in Taranaki. Miss E. Blackbourn is visiting relatives near Auckland. Miss P- North will spend a fortnight at Mount Maunganui. Miss E. Clarke and Mrs. J. Irwin have gone to Christchurc-h on a visit to Mrs. Irwin's daughter, Mrs. K. Paul. . Mr. E. J. 'Right-on and family, Wellington. passed through Te Awamutu yesterday en route to Kawhia for a camping holiday 'at the seaside. Mr. * Righton is''president of the New Zealand Motion Picture Exhibitors' Asso- . ciation. Mr. G- A. Empson, Miss Stella Empson, Mr. S- A. Empson and family will spend the holidays at Auckland's Beach. Mr. and- Mrs. R. C. Rickit and family are leaving for their beach house at Weymouth. Mrs. E. Potts, Mrs. Heath, Miss Elliott and the M isses Potts have secured a cottage at Kawhia seaside for - the holidays Mrs. Tesdale and her mother, Mrs. Bond, are going to Auckland for the holidays Miss T. Empson has returned after spending several months at Matakana Island, near Tauranga. Her sister, Mis* Huia Empson, has also returned from Wellington. Mr. a.nd Mrs- A. C. Cruicbshnnk and daughters intend going to Auckland for a holiday. Misse* J. Philip and G. Westbrook are going to Mount Maunganui. Mr. and Mrs. J. T. North and Miss L. North will spend the holidays in ' and around Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Rainev will spend the first part of the holiday in Auckland. > Mr. and Mrs. G- Edge will spend the holidays at the seaside at Ohope Beach, near Whakatane. Miss G Ryburn has left for a motor tour through Taranaki and Hawke's Bay. Mr. and. Mrs. G. 0. Jourdain and their daughter Helen intend motoring to the North of Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brewer have gone to Tauranga, prior to. making their new home at Kawakawa. Miss Beryl West, Teasdale Street, and her sister, Mrs. Miller, are spending a week at Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. R. L- Henderson will spend the holidays in and about Auckland. • Mrs. F. C. Shutte, College Street, jvill spend a few weeks at Brown's Bay. '
