CONCERT AT BIRKDALE
The annual concert of the Birkdale School, held last evening in the Public Hall, was most successful. There was a large attendance, and the programme was greatly enjoyed. The chairman of the school committee, Mr. T. M. Shepherd, presided. Various part songs and fancy dances in costume, by the phildron, preceded the presentation, by Miiss Violet Bailey, Messrs. W. Garrett, S. W. " Exley and J. Payne, of the' one-act comed.v, "The Warming Pan," by W. W'. Jacobs. The accompanist was Mrs. W. Williams.
