NEWSPAPER RAIDED
LUCKLESS CUBAN WRITERS FORCED TO DRINK CASTOR OIL (Received December IS, 6.35 p.m.) HAVANA, Dec. 12 Men armed with machine-guns and pistols raided the editorial rooms of the anti-Government newspaper Accion. to-night and forced several writers and editors to accompany them to the outskirts of the city, where they were forced to drink castor oil. The Government President, Senor Carlos Mendieta, was taking precautions throughout Cuba to forestall another revolutionary outbreak, as rumours of an impending revolt had spread over the island. •
There was no direct information that the editorial abduction was part of the programme, but the victims said they believed their abductors were members of the secret police.
