Kewpie's Triumph looks" a picture. Star Pronto (B. Dyer) was two seconds behind Kewpie's Crest (K. Bell), as they passed the mile and a-quarter post, and finishing well the former got the decision in 3.0, running the last half in 1.9 '2-5. August) ran the last mile and a-quarter of three circuits in 3.4. Ho paced soundly, but went lazily on the final lap, tnking 1.12 2-5 for the last half. Craig), after pacing usefully for a mile, increased tho pace to run the next half in -1.12. He is a gross horse, but is assuming better shape with solid work. " Proletarian (I. R. Morrison), without being fully extended, covered a mile and ahftlf in 3.82 8-5. Wherf allowed to step along on the last circuit, the colt registered 1.8 3-5 for the final half, and was still going very easily. He is making good progress in his Derby preparation/ Awakanae (G. Paton) was- too good for the Nativo King gelding (G. Coles) over a mile and a-quarter in 8.3. The speed was on in the early stages, Awakanae leading to the six furlongs at a sliado worse than a 2.20 gait, but eased in the run home, took 1.16J for the last half. Nelson Pirate (C. F.
