RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of yesterday's transactions on Now Zealand Stock Exchanges and the return from investment at the quoted price. The exchange premium on dividends payable in sterling is included in the calculation of returns. The yield on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption and that on 3$ per cent loans is for interest alone, and covers only the period for which the loans are tax-free. AUCKLAND EXCHANGE

THE MINING MARKET A STEADY DEMAND MINOR SALE MOVEMENTS There was a steady demand for mining shares on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday and levels showed small movements only. Gains of Id were established in sales of Brian Borus and Goldfields Dredging, while King Solomons were done Id cheaper. Skippers sold at the current rate.

This assessment is subject to a restriction of 25 per cent for the quarter ending March 31, 1335, and on this basis the estimated output for the year will be 3/5,0001b. WHOLESALE EGG PRICES Wholesale egg prices in Auckland aro unchanged, as follows: Hen, first grade, Is 2Jd; B grade, Is lid; C grade, lljd; duck, Is lid, Is OJd, and ibid. LAMB COMPETITION The North Island section of the annual district comeptition m export lambs, promoted by the Meat Producers' Board, has attracted entries from the Waikato, Hawkc's Bay. Gisborne, Southern Hawke's Bay, Feilding, Manawatu, Wanganui and Taranaki districts. A total of 40;» lambs is being shipped to London for the Ana' adjudication. The entries will be displayed at Smithfield and judged by a panel of well-known authorities.
