PRESENTATION OF DIPLOMAS The Baptist Tabernacle was crowded for the 12th annual breaking-up ceremony of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute. The president, Mr. R. L. Stewart, said that during the year 23 students from the institute had left the Dominion to engage in foreign mission work in eight different countries. The institute now had 125 past students in the various mission fields. A record total of 125 students had enrolled in the Bible correspondence courses during the year. Fine work had been done at the Lewis Eady Hall mission ui\dor the Rev. John Bissott. The diploma of the institute was presented to the following students;— Misses I. F. H. Campbell, M. W. D. Coward, J. T. Hargreaves and V. M. C. Rout (Auckland), E. I. McCauley (Melbourne), A. B. Carter (Wellington), A. G. Fordyce, N. M. Morriss and L. Grievo (Dunedin), V. J. Dunn and L. M. Byars (Southland), Messrs. T. Bond, T. Gibbs, M. B. Grainger, S. H. Littlejohn, J. P. Miller and M. N. Wilson (Auckland), I. H.i Wilson (Melbourne), R. H. H. Hill (Sydney), H. H. Kindleysides (Waiuku), J. H. Twentyman (Christchurch), W. J. Freeman and A. I<. Schroeder (Invercargill). The prizes for highest class marks wore awarded to Miss A. B. Carter and Mr. R. H. Hill. Special prizes for general improvement were awarded to Miss A. G. Fordyce and Mr. H. H. Kindleysides.
A caravan to be used for evangelistic work by two students.of the institute, Mr. nnd Mrs. J. P. Miller, in the more remote parts of the Dominion, was dedicated. The caravan was provided as a memorial to the late Rev. Joseph W. Kemp, the founder of the institute. A sermon was preached by the Rev. Dr. Alexander Hodge, who stressed the need for boldness nnd directness in preaching Mir* Gospel.
