FORD V-8 (These Tyres Finally ' Completed over 37,000 Miles) It is seven months since I fitted my Ford V-8 with Michelin Real Low Pressure 160 x 40. They have done more than 16*000 miles, and from appearances should last till about 25,000. They still remain skid-proof, and braking is excellent. After using balloon tyres these new Low Pressure are a wonderful improvement, and :remarkß are very frequent regarding the extremely comfortable riding over roughest roads. They are in every way a great success. I may add that steering is very light and more steady, while there is a slight improvement in petrol dTTrEDDAWAY. Atta Taxi 29, Auckland. STERLING PERFORMANCE ON A CHRYSLER SIX I have been using your Real Low Pressure Tyres on my Chrysler Six car for the past four months, and during that time have covered 6000 miles over all kinds of roads. I am pleased to state that I' am more than satisfied with the remarkable performance of the tyres, particularly the elimination of shock and vibration on pot-holed and corrugated roads, the skid-resisting qualities on wet bitumen roads, the feeling of security on hair-pin bends, and the fact that 1 have found no increase in petrol consumption, much to my surprise. I have every confidence in recommending them to all who appreciate comfort and safety in motoring. > " HENRY W. DUNCAN. 106 Onepu Road, Lyall Bay, Wellington. THESE TYRES RAN 70,000 MILES I must congratulate you to the fullest extent, and with your R.L.P. Tyres you have a great future. For economy and comfort motorists should fit no other tyres. I fitted 250 "x 20 Real Low Pressure Tyres on my Latil Bus, and the following facts have convinced me and converted me to 100% Michelin RLJP. Since fitting your R.L.P. my petrol consumption has been reduced 5%, spring.and shackle bolt repairs by 100%, and the braking is 25% more efficient. Back end replacements cost me a mint of money, but since fitting R.L.P.'s I have not spent a penny on it. Your tyres have been on the back wheels for 16 months, and during that time they have run 40,000 miles with the tread still showing. I reckon on another 20,000 before the tyres are run out. The tyres previously fitted were 36 x 6 and only lasted me three months, doing a small mileage of 10,000 miles. I carry 22 passengers in my bus and have to start on a grade of 1 in 20 and I in 15, which makes a great strain on the tyres, and when it comes to corrugated or loose metal roads 'the R.L.P# s take all the shocks and there is no wheel spin. "After fitting your tyres my passengers were continually remarking on the comfort in riding and all rattles were cut out. The R.L.P.'s are the greatest tyre ever offered to the motoring public. BABY AUSTIN Equipped with 3.50-19 Real Low Pressure Tyres* fitted to car's own balloon wheels. Six months ago 1 equipped my Austin 7 with your Michelin Real Low Pressure Tyres. Since then I have driven 4900 miles over all classes of roads, including a trip to Whangarei and back in a day. Previous to this I made a trip to Wellington, the journey back being made in 16 hours. The tread wear so far is barely noticeable. The difference in comfort, riding on Real Low Pressure Tyres, is very marked, and it is possible to hold speeds on the worst road surfaces without spinning or discomfort from road shock or swaying, as can be judged from the time taken on the Wellington trip. As I was doubtful regarding the petrol mileage I would get, I have carefully checked the performance fitting the R.L.P. tyres, and • find a slightly increased mileage compared with a similar model Austin fitted on standard balloons, my average now being 49 miles per gallon. BERT. FERGUSON, Royal Oak, Auckland. NASH LIGHT SIX Equipped with 300-20 Real Low Pressure - Tyrea, fitted to existing wheels on car. I feel 1 must express my appreciation of the service I am receiving from your Low Pressure Tyres. Some months ago I completely equipped my Nash* car, and hav£ since done some 5000 miles, a good deal of which has been over bad country roads. The tyres have proved to be all that you claim; they im* prove the riding comfort of the car to an unbelievable extent, with the obvious result that they save a good deal of wear and tear. i " My petrol consumption has not varied.- I would also mention the wonderful sense of -security while driving at high speeds over bad roads, as the car_ seems to cling to the road over corrugations, pot-S holes, or on bad corners, and gives altogether a most ; remerkable feeling of control. \ I can unhesitatingly recommend these tyres, as I I consider them probably the greatest advance toward safety and comfort in recent years. H. GILLS, 4 Hopetown Street, Auckland, C.2. * STANDARD BIG 9 Equipped with 4.50-19 Real Low Pressure Tyres, on existing well-base balloon wheels. I have much pleasure penning my recommendation to motorists who have under consideration replacement of tyres not to hesitate, but replace with Real Low Pressure Michelin. I was one of the first to fit Real Low Pressure tyres in Auckland and .can recommend with authority. The mileage to date is 9102. The back tyres have not been changed to the front, and by all appearances the back tyres are good for another 9000 miles. They affect the power of the car but little, are beauti- . ful to ride over, and must reflect favourably on the genera] wear and tear of thq car. The steering is definitely not affected. I congratulate the Michelin Company on their production, and consider the time not far distant when motorists will recognise for themselves the comfort these tyres offer. E. K.
