MORTGAGE CORPORATION
Sir, —The proposed National Mortgage Corporation is considered the best solution of this country's financial problems yet suggested and with a well-selected directorate, including competent valuers and sound administration, is quite capable of successful fulfilment. > Its operations will be reflected far and wide to the betterment of New Zealand as a whole. The time is opportune, with abundance, of " frozen " capital available, and with a revaluation of all lands, and mortgages in proportion, on the basis of productiveness and income derived, long-dated mortgages, and low interest rates, success is assured. Unfortunately the Christmas recess will delay matters until Parliament meets in Februarv, when it is to be hoped members will realise the urgency of the position and tackle the matter in a businesslike manner. Only Hope.
