CONSTABLE'S TRANSFER
A presentation to Constable F. Pollard, of Otahuhu, on the occasion of his transfer to take charge at the Henderson Police Station was made at an informal gathering in Otahuhu last night. Sergeant J. Cahill presided and representatives of the Police and Justice Departments, the legal profession and the civic community weje present. On behalf of the staff of the Otahuhu police district, Sergeant Cahill presented Constable Pollard with a travelling case. He conveyed the staff's good wishes and similar sentiments were expressed by other speakers. Constable Pollard will leave Otahuhu next Monday to take up duty at Henderson.
