LOSS ON FESTIVAL
CAMBRIDGE COMPETITIONS BOROUGH COUNCIL DONATION [from OCR owx correspondent] CAMBRIDGE, Saturday ■<?- At a meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council, a deputation from the Cambridge Competitions Society asked for a reduction in the charge made by the council for the use of the Town Hall during the recent festival. The president of the society, Mr. F, R. Wooldridge, said that last year a» loss of £'39 was shown, and this year the loss amounted to £43. In reply to a question by the deputyMayor, Mr. G. Calvert, it was stated that the society's reserve funds amounted to £llO. It was decided to make a donation of £5 out of unauthorised expenditure.
