DANCE AT OKOROIRE
A dance to celebrate the opening of the tennis season was held by the Okoroire Hall Tennis Club last week. A large number of dancers attended and the programme of modern and old-time dances was thoroughly enjoyed. The club captain, Mr. B. Castleton, was in charge of floor arrangements. An excellent supper was provided by ladies of the committee. Among those present were: —Mrs. E. Gubb. who wore floral crepe marocain; Mrs. 13. Bellamy, blue wind-swept satin; Mrs. Watson, beige crepe do chine; Miss E. Goodwin, floral ninon; Miss K. Gallery, blue pique voile; Miss M. Barker, cream lace frock; Miss M. Carruth, midnight blue crepe suede; Miss V. Gubb, beige net over satin; Miss J. Carruth, chevron striped marocain; Miss T. Stevens, ivory satin; Miss D. Stanley (Tirau), blue satin with pale pink inlets; Miss V. Summerville (Matamata), black georgette; Miss S. Lewis (Matamata), green organdie; Miss Hardwick, pale blue georgette; Miss Brinkburn (Matamata), blue and black satin.
