CROSSING COLLISION
ESCAPE OF MOTORISTS ACCIDENT AT CLAUDELANDS [from orii owx correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday A light sedan motor-car was involved in a collision with the KotoruaAuckland express early yesterday afternoon at the Station Road levelcrossing, Claudelands. The occupants of the car, Murdoch Williams, aged 18, of River Road, who was driving, and a passenger, escaped injury. The impact took place after the engine had passed over the crossing, the cat striking the second carriage. Damage was done to the car.
LIGHT VAN AND ENGINE INFANT SUFFERS INJURY [from OCR own correspondent] HAMILTON*, Sunday A fortunate escape from serious in* jury was experienced by the three occupants of a light delivery van when it collided -with an engine shunting across the Victoria Street level crossing late last evening. The driver of the van wa3 Mr. J. Mead, of Frankton, and he was accompanied by his wife and infant son. Neither Mr. Mead nor Mrs. Mead was injured, but the child suffered cuts on the face, and was given medical attention. The truck, which is owned by Watson's Camera House, was considerably damaged.
