OPENING AT TAUPIRI [tbom; our own correspondent] TAUPIRI, Saturday The official opening of the Taupiri Tennis Club's season took place this afternoon, visitors being present, from the Orini, Ngaruawahia. Huntly and Kasnuj Clubs. Mr. J. F. Farrell. president of the club, officially opened the courts alter Mra. L. Powell bad J>iay«d the first ball.
ST. PETER'S, TAURANGA [fbosi oub own cobbispojjdbnt] TAURANGA, Saturday There was a large attendance at the opening of the St. Peter's Presbyterian Church tennis court. The president, Mr. J. H. Graham, welcomed the players and their friends, and referred to the improvement effected m laying a new bitumen surface. The Mayor, Mr. A. F. Tunks. declared the court open, and'the Rev. J. W. Smyth ttlao spoke. The firit ball was served by Mrs, Collier, and .games then followed.
