FINE OF £3O INFLICTED CHRISTCHURCH PROSECUTION [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, Satm-dar As a sequel to a raid by detectives this morning, George Berry, aged 39, of New Brighton, appeared in the Police Court on a charge of keeping a common gaming house. The polico said all the paraphernalia of a bookmaker was found at accused's house, and that ho was taking bets when arrested. The magistrate, Mr. H. A. Young, fined accused £3O.
