THEFT BY DANCER
ADMITTED TO PROBATION Convicted last Saturday of the theft of a wallet containing £5 10s, Basil James Leitch, aged 26, professional dancer (Mr. Hough), appeared before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday for sentence Mr. Hough said accused had never been in trouble before, and the prosecution would be a sharp lesson to him. The magistrate said that as the probation officer's report had been satisfactory accused would be admitted to probation for 12 months. Accused would be given one month to make restitution of £2 Is. which had not been recovered.
