The yield on 4 per cent Gov- ; eminent loans includes redemption and i that on 3.V per cent loans is for inj tercst alone and covers only the period | for which the loans are tax-free.
THE MINING MARKET IMPROVEMENT IN WAIHIS OF'FERS RAISED TO 36/Waihi mining shares showed further improvement on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Sellers withdrew from the market, although buying limits were advanced by 7d to 365. Waihi Junctions were done unchanged at 4s 4d, after which there were no visible supplies. Business in Broken Hill Proprietary and Golcondas also was at current rates.
