COLLISION WITH ROCK
SWEDISH SHIP'S PLIGHT REPORTED TO BE SINKING (Received October 17, 6.84 p.m.) COPENHAGEN, Oct. 17 The Swedish steamer C. B. Pedersen, bound from Halmstad to Melbourne with a crew of 37, of whom 30 are youths, collided with the Skaw at the northern extremity of Denmark. Details are lacking, but radio reports state that the vessel is sinking. Steamers have gone to the rescue.
