Arachne wps successful iu tho Edward Manifold Stakes, for three-yea,r-old fillies, in which the New Zealand-bred Quarto was third. Hall Mark scored a decisive victory in the October Stakes, winning easily by two and a-half lengths. Chief Light ran unplaced in the Paddock Handicap.
